Reviewing Your Blog
I’ve just received a great message from ProBlogger all about reviewing your blog.
I’m not going to repeat it all here – just give you the link.
Very interesting stuff!

Should I Upgrade to WordPress 2.7?

Should I Upgrade to WordPress 2.7?
Well, I checked a couple of websites and decided to go ahead – but using the WordPress Upgrade Plugin. And you know what? it’s worked like a dream.
It was a bit spooky totally trusting the plugin to do its job and clicking a button for each stage. But it has done the job brilliantly!
Really easy. Took about 2 minutes altogether and I just logged out and back in again and reactivated my other plugins.
So it worked for me. Only you can decide whether to do it for your blog though.
All the best

How To Write For Your Blog

How To Write For Your Blog
Do you often sit there at your keyboard wondering not so much what to write about, but how to write? I know I do. How often do you erase the last line and start again? I just did!
I’ve been recovering from 36 hours without internet or telephone. I could have spent the time reading through all the ebooks I’ve downloaded, but I didn’t. Instead I took the lack of access to my online world as a necessary, enforced mini vacation. Something I knew I needed, but daren’t take. So I read some real books, magazines and watched a couple of TV programmes.
When everything came back on a few hours ago (it was a waterlogged phone box out in the field somewhere), then I was back to emails and research – and some more reading.
I don’t know about you, but I do prefer to print out many of the ebooks I have. I use a laser printer which lets me duplex (double-side) print them – or if there more than about 20 pages, then I print them as booklets and comb bind them. So an 80-page ebook will print out on to 40 sheets of paper if duplexed, or better still, only 20 sheets as a booklet.
The comb binding bits and pieces are cheapies I picked up in a stationery outlet, but they serve the purpose. If I was doing this to resell printed ebooks then I’d get better kit.
Anyway, in today’s reading I came across some great blogs by other people which I just have to mention.
First of all, the book I’m reading is by Yaro Starak (his blog is Entrepreneurs-Journey) and the book is Blog Profits Blueprint which you can get when you go and grab a free copy of his other book Roadmap To Become A Blogger. All free! There’s masses of very useful info in these two documents.
I’m up to page 35 of Blog Profits and I’ve just found the two sites I want to mention. The first of these comes back to the heading of this post – How To Write For Your Blog – which took me off to Copyblogger.com.
Now I’m not saying I’ve completely understood and taken on board what Brian Clark has presented, but the whole blog site looks really good and it’s certainly one worth signing up for RSS or email feeds.
The other one is Problogger.net. So I reckon I’m going to have to keep going back to this one too, as there is a wealth of information in here. He’s even got a Jobs Board. Doh!
So, in keeping with Yaro’s advice, I’m now off to leave some very nice comments on both of these sites.
Back soon.
